For the 8th time, Bensberg Castle will be the setting for the FIVA-A-Concours d'Elégance and a rally around Bergisch Gladbach from July 1 to 3, 2016.
The Concours d'Elégance with around 45 classic cars
The setting could not be more impressive. The largest baroque palace in Europe, which today as the Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg stands for high-class hotel business and cuisine, will welcome around 45 classic cars from different eras to its inner courtyard. These will be judged by an international jury including Andrea Zagato, Stefan Sielaff, Bart Lenaerts and, of course, jury chairman Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen.
The classes for 2016 include pre-war sports cars ("the beauty of power", European sports cars with American engines ("European sports cars with American power"), post-war vehicles from the Carozzeria Touring "90 years of Carozeria Touring".
It will be interesting to see which exquisite classics find their way to Bergisch Gladbach this year.
Rallye Historique
The day before the Concours, a regularity drive through the Bergisches Land region takes place at the Schloss Bensberg Classics. Culinary delights are not neglected here either, but the focus is of course on the 100 or so beautiful cars - some of which usually also take part in the Concours - and the attractive landscapes that are traversed.
The year of construction limit for the 2016 event was set at 1986.
Special exhibitions
The always attractive special exhibitions also run under the motto "very important cars only". In 2015, for example, rare Group B rally cars were on display, as well as a selection of classics from the Volkswagen Group.
Attention: Interested participants can register from February 15, 2016. You have until the end of April 2016. Entries can be submitted via the event website from February 15, 2016.
