The Saalbach Classic is taking place for the fifth time this summer. With a slightly different route, the participants will turn the mountain landscape into classic car terrain.
The Saalbach Classic is a three-day rally that starts and finishes in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. The focus is on pre-war vehicles from Lagonda, Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes, Bugatti, BMW, Invicta, Riley, but also Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Veritas, Austin Healey, Fiat, Maserati... The special sound of historic exhaust systems and the smell of their carburetors should take all participants back to the time when driving was still an incomparable adventure.
The route offers great views of the Glöckner Group, the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Katschberg and Saalbach-Hinterglemm. The regularity event and special stages lead twice over the Grossglockner and will therefore be quite a challenge for drivers and cars.
It is two-time rally world champion Walter Röhre who invites visitors to his adopted home for the Saalbach Classic, but the focus is still on the cars. There is even a guaranteed start for pre-war cars. You can register here.
