The sister event to the major Retro Classics in Stuttgart has itself become an important platform: more and more dealers, connoisseurs and collectors from the Nuremberg metropolitan region, as well as from other German states and neighboring countries, are being drawn to Retro Classics Bavaria at the end of the season on December 6-8, 2019.
As a result, last year once again saw a considerable increase in visitor numbers with a high proportion of trade visitors. This bodes well for the fourth edition, which opens its doors at the NürnbergMesse exhibition center from December 6 to 8. More than 370 exhibitors and around 1500 vehicles are expected.
Positive development thanks to a coherent concept
Retro Classics Bavaria has not only proven to be a crowd-puller, but also "enjoys a high status as a marketplace within the scene today," says Karl Ulrich Herrmann, Managing Partner of organizer Retro Messen GmbH.
The positive development is due not least to a trade fair concept tailored to the location, which combines a wide range of renowned dealers and service providers, a large vehicle sales exchange, club presentations and special shows with a varied supporting program. Of course, the aim is not to rest on one's laurels, but to regularly provide "new highlights and surprises".
Racing and history in the special shows
There are certainly more than enough of these at Retro Classics Bavaria 2019. The special shows, designed with great attention to detail, cover a wide range of topics. Racing fans can look forward in particular to the "Historic Norisring" exhibition, where a number of motorized veterans from the great days of Nuremberg racing will be on display.
In addition, former and current racing drivers will be available for autograph sessions and interviews. A Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren presentation and an insight into the legendary ROFGO Gulf Heritage Collection of entrepreneur and racing driver Roald Goethe will also be all about motor racing. Also of particular historical interest are the "GDR ambulances" exhibition curated by the Nuremberg Red Cross Museum and the special shows "Historic buses" and "Agriculture from around the world".
Driving pleasure and lifestyle with young cars
The vehicles in the Neo Classics® section, which have long since outgrown their former niche and become an established segment of the classic car market, are less museum-like but very much in tune with the times.
The exquisite handcrafted vehicles, super sports cars, one-offs and cars up to 20 years old combine elegant design, exceptional comfort and often remarkable engine performance to create an exclusive driving experience. At the Retro Classics trade fairs, the trend towards "young" classics is reflected in steadily growing sales figures.
Relaxed end to the day with Allianz
Of course, a trade fair like Retro Classics Bavaria is not just about exhibiting and selling, but also about its harmonious supporting program, which offers plenty of opportunities to marvel, inform, network and talk shop. The "Allianz Retro Night", itself already a classic in the RETRO trade fair format, promises good entertainment and lively "motor talk" with prominent guests. With a glass of sparkling wine or a refreshing beer, sophisticated treats for the "slim line" and good music, you can bring the first day of the fair to a relaxed close.
Tried and tested
Retro Classics Bavaria is taking place at NürnbergMesse for the fourth time this year. At the sister event of Retro Classics Stuttgart, national and international car manufacturers, dealers, collectors and specialists will once again present the whole world of classic automobiles at the end of the season: classic cars, modern classics, new classics, parts and accessories on an area of around 40,000 square meters.
As a stylish meeting place for the scene, the trade fair also offers the opportunity for stimulating conversations and professional exchange. Top-class special shows, an informative supporting program and a large vehicle sales market round off the trade fair's diverse offering.
You can find out more about Retro Classics, which will be open from 09:00 to 18:00 on December 6-8, 2019, on the trade fair's website.
