The race categories for the 82nd Goodwood Members' Meeting, which will take place on April 12 and 13, 2025, have been announced.
In the "Hailwood Trophy", motorcycles with 750 cm3 (4-stroke) and 250/250 cm3 (two-stroke) will race against each other.
Exciting battles between cars built before 1923 are expected in the "S.F. Edge Trophy".
In the "Gurney Cup", sports racing prototypes from 1963 to 1966 will compete against each other, including the Ford GT40, Chevron B6, Lotus 23 and other mostly lightweight sports cars
Touring cars with an engine capacity of at least 2.8 liters that raced in the British Saloon Car Championship from 1976 to 1982, or that raced in accordance with Group 1 FIA rules between 1970 and 1982, can be entered for the "Gordon Spice Trophy".
Formula Junior racing cars that were active until 1964 can start in the "Arundell Cup".
British sports cars built up to the Second World War will compete in the "Earl Howe Trophy".
The "Moss Trophy" focuses on closed GT cars that raced before 1963. Cars such as the Jaguar E-Type, the Aston Martin DB4 GT and the Ferrari 250 GT SWB are expected to compete.
Finally, in the "Win Percy Trophy", touring cars with an engine capacity of less than 2.8 liters and built between 1970 and 1982 will compete against each other. Mini 1275 GT, Ford Fiesta or Triumph Dolomite Sprint would be examples of such cars.
Finally, touring cars that raced before 1966 and with an engine capacity of less than two liters will compete in the "Whitmore Cup". Mini Cooper S, Lotus Cortina or Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA could be among the fastest competitors here.
Racing sports cars with front engines, in use between 1955 and 1960, will compete for the "Salvadori Cup". Cars such as the Lister-Jaguar Knobbly, the Lotus 15 and the Lola Mk1 are expected to take part.
Of course, the races will also be supplemented by demo runs, which you can already look forward to.
