RM/Sotheby's also wanted to auction around 200 cars at the Techno Classica at the end of March 2020. Due to the postponement of the classic car fair, RM/Sotheby's has now naturally also been forced to postpone the auction to a later date. They are in direct talks with the trade fair organization and are of course doing everything they can to protect the health of visitors, customers and their own organization.
Petitjean collection as the highlight
The approximately 100 cars from the Marcel Petitjean collection would also have gone under the hammer at the March auction.
This is a collection of special and sporty automobiles that has been built up over decades and that you don't come across at auctions every day. Among the exotic cars in this collection are a Ligier JS2 and a TVR Grantura. Most of the cars are described as being in original condition, which makes them all the more interesting.
In addition to these exotic cars, the collection also includes many super classics, including an almost complete line-up of Lamborghinis from the sixties and seventies.
New date in June 2020
Those responsible at RM/Sotheby's are now looking for a new auction date to coincide with Techno Classica, which has been postponed to June.
Further information can be found on the RM/Sotheby's website.
