On November 20, 2026, RM Sotheby’s will auction 61 cars with an average value of EUR 266,270 at Motorworld Munich. The vehicles are, on average, 43 years old. 62% of the cars will be offered without a reserve price, including a 1939 BMW 328 and a BMW M1.
13 Brands
18 Porsches, 13 BMWs, and eight Mercedes-Benzes together already account for nearly two-thirds of the lineup. However, seven Maseratis, three Ferraris, and three Chevrolets are also on offer. All other brands, including Alpine-Renault and RUF, are represented by a maximum of two cars.
While just over half of the Porsche cars go under the hammer without a reserve price, the figure is three-quarters for Mercedes-Benz and, for Chevrolet, all of them.
300 SL Roadster and Porsche Carrera RS 3.8 as showpieces
Two cars valued at two million will be offered on November 20, 2026, at Motorworld Munich.
The first is a late-production Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster from 1963, estimated at EUR 1.3 to 1.7 million. Arguably the eleventh-last car built, it features disc brakes, an aluminum engine, “matching numbers,” and the original paint scheme.
Only 55 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8s based on the 964 were built. The car offered here has remained in its first owner’s possession to this day and, in “Speed Yellow,” looks exactly as one would imagine a fast Porsche to look. This should be worth between EUR 1 and 1.3 million to its next owner.
From the M1 to the M6
Of the 13 BMWs on offer, nine have an “M” in their model designation.
The M1 marked the beginning of the famous M series in the late 1970s. Two examples are currently on offer in Munich. One is a dark blue street-legal M1 from 1980, estimated at EUR 400,000 to 500,000.
Joining it is a 1987 BMW M1 AHG concept car. This special version, retrofitted with factory parts in the style of the Procar series, comes with a German vehicle registration certificate and was valued at EUR 400,000 to 500,000; however, no minimum price is set.
Three M3s from the E30 generation and a 1995 M3 GT E36 represent the M3 family, which is still in production today. Estimated values range from EUR 70,000 to 260,000.
Also included are the 1986 BMW M5 Sedan, a 1985 M635 CSI, and a 2012 M6 Coupe.
Maserati Super Classics
Two decades of Maserati history are represented by the selection of seven cars bearing the Trident emblem.
The range extends from the 1963 3500 GTI Spyder Vignale to the 1975 Bora 4.9.
Two Ghibli 4.7 models are also available: a coupe and a Spyder.
In addition, there is a Sebring, a Mistral Coupé, and an Indy—the latter in need of restoration.
Three Corvettes
The early generations of the Chevrolet Corvette are also well represented.
The lineup begins with an early six-cylinder model, a 1953 C1, priced at EUR 100,000 to 140,000.
A second C1 dates from the end of the first series, i.e., 1963, and is, of course, equipped with the V8. It is expected to fetch between EUR 60,000 and 70,000.
The C2 generation is represented by a 1967 Sting Ray 427/400 Convertible, with an estimated price of EUR 100,000 to 150,000.
DTM Vibe
There will be a bit of a racing vibe when the two DTM AMGs are called upon.
The 1995 C-Class was once driven by Jörg van Ommen and even made it onto the podium from time to time. A price range of EUR 450,000 to 550,000 paves the way to owning this unique race car featuring Sonax advertising decals.
Significantly newer is the 2014 Mercedes-AMG C-Coupe, which was once driven by Paul di Resta and boasts a number of successes in its track record. It is estimated to fetch between EUR 400,000 and 600,000.
BMW will be putting a 1986 635 CSi Group A and a 1971 3.0 CSL up for auction; while neither competed in the DTM, both have raced in other series.
And much more
The range of offerings in Munich is extensive.
A wide variety of buyer segments are catered to, whether with a 1973 Alpine-Renault A110 1300 V85, a 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, a 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI, or a 1939 Mercedes-Benz 230 Cabriolet D—to name just a few examples.
It’s best to take a look at RM Sotheby’s online catalog if you need additional photos or more detailed information.
