Patrick Peter and his enterprising team are always good for innovations. Now a new series has been announced, the Porsche 2.0 L Cup.
This series will be dedicated exclusively to Porsche 911s with a two-liter engine and short wheelbase. The cars must comply with the FIA Pre-1966 rules.
There will be three Peter Auto events in 2018, namely the Spa Classic (May 18-20), the Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or (June 8-10) and the Dix Mille Tours (August 31-September 2). At each of these events, the 2.0L Cup drivers will have a 30-minute practice session, followed by 30 minutes of qualifying and finally a 1.5-hour race. The new series will also be included at other events. These dates will be announced at the beginning of 2018.
Around 40 drivers/cars are expected to compete for the top positions on the track with equivalent equipment. It can be assumed that the races with the early 911s, which are not easy to drive, will be a feast for the eyes.
