Under the motto "Nice to have you here", the ADAC Deutschland Klassik classic car rally for the "Deutsche Post Grand Prix" will be touring the smallest federal state in the southwest of Germany from June 27 to 30, 2013.
Around 100 classic and historic cars will start this year at the top-class event, which is taking place for the fourth time. The start and finish location is the state capital of Saarbrücken.
The regional club ADAC Saarland e.V. and the classic car section of the ADAC Munich welcome the friends of classic car hiking with an extensive and decelerating program. The World Heritage Site "Völklinger Hütte", the Roman manor house "Villa Borg" and the Saarschleife are just a few of the stops that the rolling classic car museum will make during the four-day event.
The pulsating city life and the "Saarvoir vivre" of Saarlouis will also not be withheld from the classic car hikers. The competition for the Deutsche Post Grand Prix for historic and classic cars culminates in a Concours d'Elégance in the former fortress town. A jury of experts awards prizes to the most beautiful classic cars while they are lined up for onlookers in front of an extraordinary historical backdrop.
As early as 2003, the ADAC revived the idea of classic car touring, which had already been popular in Germany more than 80 years ago as car touring. In 2010, the ADAC Deutschland Klassik was added to the popular classic car hikes, including the famous ADAC Trentino Classic, organized by the second largest automobile club in the world. Every year, participants set off from different German regions to explore landscapes off the beaten track. As a result, the events always offer new specialties - both scenic as well as cultural and culinary.
Leisure, enjoyment, entertainment and culture determine the course of events, not the stopwatch. During the ADAC classic car hikes, numerous tasks have to be solved and questions answered in order to be successful in the daily rankings. Patrons of the ADAC Deutschland Klassik are Dr. Peter Ramsauer MdB, Federal Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Development, and ADAC President Peter Meyer.
