On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Safenwil will once again become a gathering place for everyone who loves the sound of classic engines, gleaming chrome, and the stories behind historic vehicles. Now in its 34th year, the Oldtimer Grand Prix Safenwil invites classic car fans, families, and automotive enthusiasts to a special experience. On the event grounds, lovingly maintained classics from a wide variety of brands, built in 1970 or earlier, will be on display. Each vehicle tells its own story and takes visitors on a fascinating journey through past eras of the automotive world.
Through history on two to four wheels
A special highlight is the popular rally: Numerous classic cars set out on varied routes—north, east, south, and west—through the Swiss Plateau and neighboring cantons before arriving in Safenwil.
An Experience for the Whole Family
In addition to impressive vehicles, guests can look forward to a diverse supporting program featuring food stands, exciting encounters, and guest clubs such as SAM Mofacup Switzerland and the Jaguar Drivers’ Club Switzerland. Another highlight is the original London bus, which comfortably transports visitors to the ClassicMuseum, where admission is free on the day of the event.
Getting there is easy: Free parking is available right at the event grounds. The event is also easily accessible by public transportation—the Autocenter is just a few minutes’ walk from the Safenwil train station.
