On October 18, 2025, the annual autumn auction of the Oldtimer Gallery will open at 13:30. 96 vehicles, seven motorcycles and 89 cars, will go under the hammer. On average, the vehicles are estimated to be worth 44,068 francs. 38 of the vehicles, i.e. 40%, will be sold without a reserve price.
These include almost all motorcycles, although there is also a super-attractive and well-preserved Suzuki GSXR 1100 from 1986 (CHF 6500 to 8500), two Triumph Bonneville and two Moto Guzzi.
A bit of pre-war
With an average age of 48 years, the fleet of vehicles on offer in Toffen is relatively young, which is why there are only three pre-war vehicles in the auction catalog.
These are a pretty MG TA from 1937, estimated at CHF 18,000 to 20,000, a rare Mathis-Martini Type P from 1922 (CHF 35,000 to 45,000) and a motorcycle from Moto Guzzi.
Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Renault in the lead
On October 18, 2025, Mercedes-Benz will deliver the largest contingent of brands with 13 cars, followed by Jaguar (8), Alfa Romeo (7), BMW and Ferrari (5 each).
The highest prices are (naturally) expected for the Ferraris, although the 300-SL Replica from Gullwing is the most expensive car on offer in absolute terms at CHF 330,000 to 360,000.
Renault has the highest "No Reserve" share with 100% (3 cars) followed by Jaguar (63%, 5 cars) and BMW (60%, 3 cars).
German elegance
Many elegant and beautiful cars from Germany will be on offer in Toffen in mid-October.
Among them are two BMW coupés, namely a 3.0 CSi from 1972 (CHF 70,000 to 75,000) and a 635 CSi from 1981 (CHF 25,000 to 30,000, no reserve price).
There is also plenty of classic design to be seen in the cars with a star for sale, such as the two R107s, a 450 SL from 1973 (CHF 28,000 to 32'000) and 280 SL from 1983 (CHF 35,000 to 40,000), or the two R129s, an SL 320 from 1996 (CHF 10,000 to 12,000) and SL 320 from 1999 (CHF 22,000 to 24,000). The 250 C from 1972, the 230 C from 1977 and the 300 CE from 1992 have also long been coupé classics.
Of course, the Porsche brand is not missing either, with two 911 derivatives on offer, a 356 and a 924.
As an exotic car, we should definitely mention the YES! Roadster from 2008.
British Gran Turismi
There are three Aston Martin GT-class cars on offer from the island, namely a DB7 Vantage from 2002 (CHF 35,000 to 45,000), a Vanquish from 2002 (CHF 70,000 to 75,000) and a modern Vanquish Volante from 2015.
Two Alvis TD21s from 1959 and 1961 demonstrate classic British automotive engineering.
Jaguar also offers two XK models, both DHC versions, in addition to several saloons.
French alternatives to the Buggy
Although French brands are relatively thin on the ground in Toffen on October 18, 2025, two Buggy alternatives with plastic bodies immediately catch the eye.
We are of course referring to the Citroën Méhari from 1970 (CHF 13,000 to 16,000) and its competitor from Renault, the Rodéo 4 from 1980 (CHF 8,000 to 10,000).
Italian hotshots
As a Toffen bidder, you can of course expect fast sports cars from Italy and will not be disappointed.
On offer are a Ferrari 308 GTS from 1979 (CHF 75,000 to 80,000), a 360 Spider F1 from 2003 (CHF 70,000 to 80,000), a Queen Mary from 1972 (CHF 225,000 to 250,000), a 456M GT from 2003 and a 612 Scaglietti from 2004.
A Giulietta Spider from 1956 (CHF 80,000 to 90,000) and a Giulia Spider 1600 from 1962 (CHF 65,000 to 70,000) as well as two coupés each from the Giulia Sprint and Alfetta eras are vying for bidders' favor.
There are also two hot Lancia Fulvia and two Maserati.
American cruisers
The American range in Toffen is also impressive.
Among the cars for sale will be a 1947 Buick Eight Super Model 56-S Sedanet (CHF 20,000 to 25,000), as well as two 1965 and 1966 Ford Mustangs and a 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner.
There is also a Cadillac Series 62 convertible from 1958 and a Chevrolet Impala Series 1700 Sport Sedan from 1959 as well as a Pontiac GTO Convertible from 1967.
Many, many entry-level classics
Even those who don't want to spend five-figure sums will find cars to suit their budget in Toffen. The cheapest is a Peugeot 206 CC 2.0 16V from 2003, estimated at CHF 1500 to 2500.
A Suzuki Swift 1.3i Cabriolet from 1995 (CHF 2000 to 3000) or a well-preserved Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 TS 16V from 1998 (CHF 3500 to 4500) are also on offer at reasonable prices.
The post-war Singer Super 10 from 1947 can be expected to sell for CHF 4000 to 5000.
You can bid for two interesting BMWs for as little as CHF 5500 to 7500, namely a 325i Cabrolet from the E36 series from 1993 and a 325 ti Compact (E46) from 2002.
A few late entries
Three motorcycles (BMW K 1100 LT SE from 1994, Motosachoche Jubilée 500 SV from 1935 and Yamaha XS 650 from 1981) and two automobiles (Peugeot 202 Camionette from 1948 and Hotchkiss M 201 from 1961) were accepted after the catalog was completed.
As always, the Oldtimer Gallery offers a wide and varied selection. More information and photos (including those of the subsequently registered vehicles) can be found on the auction house's website.
You can bid on site, over the phone or, of course, online via Invaluable.
