"Demand is growing, as is supply," explains Karl Ulrich Herrmann, Managing Partner of Retro Messen GmbH, and also provides the necessary space.
Retro Classics Stuttgart, which takes place from February 27 to March 1, 2020, is certainly one of the most important classic car trade fairs of all and therefore naturally also one of the most important marketplaces for classic automobiles. Satisfied feedback from dealers and private sellers as well as increasing demand from visitors have led to the sales area growing steadily over the years. This also applies to the 2020 anniversary edition: the range has never been greater, and entering the classic car segment has never been easier.
Expanded: vehicle sales exchange
Anyone looking for a suitable automobile will find it at Retro Classics: this year, the L-Bank Forum gallery (Hall 1, private sales market), the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6, commercial) and, for the first time, an entire half of Hall 8 (private and commercial) will be available as a vehicle sales market. "With the expansion, we are taking this development into account.
The fair in Hall 8 perfectly complements the adjacent Oskar Lapp Hall, which is used exclusively as a sales fair. In addition, there are further areas in the Messepiazza Ost and in the Rothauspark," explains Karl Ulrich Herrmann.
Up to 10,000 euros: classic cars for beginners
Driving a vintage or classic car does not necessarily have to be dizzyingly expensive: The Lloyd Alexander or an Opel Rekord from the late sixties, for example, offer nostalgic fun at a low price. A Mercedes 280, on the other hand, is a fully roadworthy, comfortable means of transportation that meets today's standards. All of them cost less than 10,000 euros to buy.
This price segment is covered by the "Beginner's Market" in the western part of Rothauspark (between Hall 9 and Hall 10), which will take place for the first time in 2020. The name says it all.
Exclusive trend: Neo Classics®
Classic exterior, ultra-modern technology, luxurious interior: these are the key characteristics of Neo Classics® in a nutshell. These exquisite handcrafted vehicles, exquisite one-offs and rarities up to 20 years old have been a growing segment of the classic car market for years. At Retro Classics Stuttugart, the trend towards "young" classics will be reflected accordingly: The previous Neo Classics® sales fair in Hall 5 will be expanded for the first time to include additional space in Hall 7.
... and off we go!
The best thing would be to whizz off with your newly acquired piece of jewelry. Unfortunately not possible at a trade fair? But you can! In the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6), the Böblingen District Office offers a special registration service for visitors to Retro Classics Stuttgart (stand no. 6A01). Nothing stands in the way of classic driving fun!
