Attention Porsche fans, the new issue of "Porsche Fahrer" magazine is now available in stores. Just the right read for those hungry for performance
Turbo delights
Performance-enhancing forced ventilation via turbochargers takes up most of the magazine. This begins with the first article, which is dedicated to the Porsche 944 Turbo.
The Turbo line continues with a comprehensive report on the Porsche 964 Turbo 3.3, which was a very special blend of innovation and tradition. Internally it was called the Type 965 and it was much more successful than its creators had anticipated. Today it is definitely one of the classics.
The Porsche 993 Turbo is then studied in more detail in the buyer's guide so that the right car can be purchased.
In the service section, the editors devote themselves to the structure of the turbocharger and its repair. The fact that the wastegate restoration is also given a few pages makes the Turbo reading complete.
The Le Mans legend 917
The Porsche 917-021, the car with the psychadelic paintwork that was on the road in various liveries, is extensively portrayed.
Other topics in the current issue include a portrait of Manfred Jantke, the truth and fiction of Porsche and Abarth as well as workshop and tuning articles.
Porsche Fahrer 4/14 has been available in stores, on the Porsche Fahrer website and as an ePaper for smartphones and tablets since September 3.
