In 2015, the Monza Historic took place for the first time as part of organizer Peter Auto's racing series. This year, the Monza Historic is back and will take place from June 30 to July 2. Some interesting vehicles are expected at the Monza speed temple!
From Group C via touring cars to the new Formula 2
Spectators can expect the usual Peter Auto starting fields at the start. In the "Classic Endurance Racing" group, which is already in its 14th season, famous racing cars from the 60s to the early 80s will be competing. Porsche 910s, 917s, Ford GT40s and a BMW M1 are therefore all set candidates.
In addition to the newly introduced "Formula 2 Euro Classic" category, in which F2 cars from 1967 to 1978 are allowed to compete, the popular Group C will also be competing. Touring car fans will get their money's worth in the Heritage Touring Cup.
The "Sixties' Endurance" group is already in its eighth season. Sports car icons up to 1963 and GT cars up to 1966 compete for victory here.
An event in Italy without a dedicated racing field for Italian racing cars is of course unthinkable. The "Nastro Trofeo Rosso" therefore provides plenty of Italian flair.
Two guest fields round off the whole range of vehicles, the Formula Junior and FIA Lurani will also be racing.
