Just a few weeks ago, California was optimistic and wanted to hold the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, but now the decision has been made to cancel.
As certainly one of the biggest, if not the biggest US event for historic motorsport, the Monterey weekend always generates a lot of attention. The multi-day event was scheduled to take place from August 13 to 16, 2020.
The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance had already been canceled and the auction houses that used to use the Monterey week for auctions have also rescheduled.
Back in a year's time
Friends and fans of the Monterey Reunion are now being put off until next year. Then the engines will roar again on the Laguna Seca circuit from August 12 to 15, 2021.
