Since 2009, autobau in Romanshorn has been providing an insight into the world of rare and fast sports cars. On Sunday, the autobau team welcomed the 100,000th guest to the special exhibition on Lake Constance.
"We now have more visitors than exhibited horsepower," smiled Fredy Lienhard, delighted with the 100,000th guest. The great interest in the vehicle exhibition is a nice natural dividend for the former racing driver and entrepreneur. It is also confirmation that he is right to share his enthusiasm.
Rising visitor numbers
A visit from a school class motivated Fredy Lienhard to show his car collection to the public. With the opening of the autobau Erlebniswelt in 2009 in the former tank farm in Romanshorn, he fulfilled his wish. Initially open one Sunday a month, autobau's doors are now open every Sunday and Wednesday. Groups can also visit at any time by prior arrangement.
Various special exhibitions and the new exhibition space in the historic steel tank have inspired and continue to inspire more and more people. On average, over 1,000 visitors a month experience the unique car world in the port city of Romanshorn.
Growing car world
With autobau, the automotive industry has also found a home: a modern commercial center was opened in the autobau Factory in 2011. A perfect addition to the exhibition, where the theme of cars and motor racing can be experienced.
While visiting the exhibition, Olivier Smili and Marianne Manini from Uetikon am See were also surprised: they are the special guests on Sunday, May 14, 2017.
More information about autobau can of course also be found on their website.
