The lucrative markets for classic and vintage cars are the focus of "Classic.Car.Marketing". The congress will bring current trends to the stage at Motorworld in Cologne on January 21, 2020.
Classic cars and motorcycles inspire an audience of millions. According to a study by IfD Allensbach, 15 million people in Germany alone are interested in classic vehicles. That is 22 percent of the population. And around 2.2 million "classic cars" are preserved as leisure vehicles in Germany. The range is also growing, with 2,400 rallies and various other classic car events attracting participants and spectators.
A lucrative market. But what are the future prospects for events, sponsorship commitments and classic car media in times of digitalization and climate sensitization?
The latest trends and findings
The "Classic.Car.Marketing" congress brings the latest trends and developments to the stage at Motorwold Cologne/Rhineland. 20 experts and 150 participants exchange fresh ideas and knowledge.
The organizers ESB Marketing Network and the German Classic Car Association have put together an exciting program. Four forums will present the latest developments in the classic and vintage car market. Knowledge from market research on the target group, best practice examples relating to classic car events and a wide range of presentations on sponsorship and tourism will be discussed.
Tips from experts and new perspectives
The Automobile Club of Germany (AvD) will present its view of the youngtimer and classic car markets and highlight the differences between the target groups. Organizers of legendary classic car rallies such as the Creme21 Youngtimer Rallye, Arlberg Classic Car Rallye or Baiersbronn Classic will highlight opportunities and risks in the event market.
Promising marketing strategies in the classic car segment will be presented by BMW Group Classic. How sponsors and tourist regions work together in a targeted manner is also part of the forum. And because new generations demand new trends, a panel discussion will be devoted to new perspectives for classic cars.
More structure needed
The market is lucrative, but has so far lacked structure. The industry get-together aims to change this. The congress is aimed at event organizers, sponsors, tourist destinations and interested parties from the classic car industry.
Classic.Car.Marketing" is aimed at industry insiders. Participants include sponsors, event organizers, media and tourism destinations.
Central topics are:
- Knowledge about the target group of classic car owners
