Have you always dreamed of driving a Jaguar C-Type or D-Type yourself, or at least being a passenger in an E-Type?
With the "Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience", Jaguar is now offering precisely this as a factory experience, so to speak. These driving experiences are organized by the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations department.
Since November 2014, it has been possible for private individuals to experience the possibilities and charisma of Jaguar vehicles for themselves behind the wheel of legendary Le Mans racing cars, as well as on board everyday sports cars such as the classic E-Type or the modern F Type.
However, you have to go to England, Warwickshire to be precise. Various packages are on offer. Prices start at £95 for a ride in a Jaguar E-Type. For £135 you can drive a Jaguar XK 150. For £750 you can get behind the wheel of a C-Type, an XKSS and an F-Type for half a day.
And for those who can never get enough, it's best to book the "Grace and Pace" package, which offers a full day of driving in classics from the XK150 to the C-Type, the D-Type to the Mk 2 Coombs, the E-Type Roadster and modern successors, a total of nine vehicles, but also costs £2000.
You can order the driving pleasure online, but the current terms and conditions require you to be resident in England. But with a little persuasion, it may be possible to get around this condition. In addition to the driving costs, there is of course the cost of travel and hotels, which participants book themselves.
So the pleasure won't be cheap, but compared to the price of a used C-type or D-type in the millions, the kilometers on the test site in Warwickshire should be cheap.
