This year's Le Mans Classic from July 3 to 6, 2025 once again thrilled the crowds and enthusiasts. But we are already looking to the future.
Due to the enormous public success of this year's event, which attracted around 240,000 people to the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, the biennial event will be replaced by a new annual format from next year.
For the cars from 1976 to 2015
The first edition of the "Le Mans Classic Legend" will take place from July 2 to 5, 2026. The new racing event will focus on the cars that flew the flag of endurance racing from 1976 to 2015 - a period synonymous with technical innovations, spectacular performances and iconic motorsport personalities.
A new impetus for Le Mans Classic
From 2026, Le Mans Classic will therefore take place annually, alternating between two complementary events:
Le Mans Classic Heritage (1923-1975): a journey back to the golden era of endurance racing with legendary starting grids and a distinctly vintage atmosphere
Le Mans Classic Legend (1976-2015): a tribute to the recent past with prototypes and GTs that have written the contemporary history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
The new rotation offers collectors and drivers more opportunities on the track and gives a whole new generation of fans the chance to get excited about this unique passion!
