Next year on March 21 and 22, the 73rd Goodwood Members' Meeting will take place in Goodwood, England. Among the countless races over the two days is the so-called Les Leston Cup for British sports cars and GT vehicles from 1960 to 1966, named after Alfred Lazarus Fingleston.
Alfred Lazarus Fingleston was a renowned racing driver and won 154 races during his career as well as the 1954 British Formula 3 title, making one of the most famous Lotus Elites a star of British motorsport. The Series II Elite, known simply as 'DADIO' after its registration number - 'DAD 10' - will compete in the Les Leston Cup at Goodwood MM next year.
The Lotus Elite will be up against countless Austin Healey 3000s, Morgan +4s, TVR Grantura MkIIIs and representatives from Rochdale, Tornado, Daimler, Turner, WSM and Reliant . Among the vehicles that will be competing in the Les Leston Cup are an unusually large number of plastic cars. A selection of them can be found in the picture gallery.
