From June 12 to 14, Klassikwelt Bodensee will open its doors at the Friedrichshafen Exhibition Center and invites visitors to a diverse experience of classic mobility. In a total of 12 exhibition halls and on the open-air grounds, visitors can look forward to a varied program of events relating to classic and vintage cars. New this year is the recently agreed partnership between Klassikwelt Bodensee and the Techno Classica Salon. The two popular classic car fairs will be strategically linked in future.
For many years, the organizer SIHA has been a pioneer for high-quality, internationally oriented classic car trade fairs with Techno Classica - and is starting a new chapter this year with the Techno Classica Salon in Dortmund. "In our discussions with SIHA project manager Janine Franssen, we recognized many similarities between the two event formats and are looking forward to working together as partners," reports Holger Ewald, project manager of Klassikwelt Bodensee.
The first visible sign of this cooperation is the special show "Techno Classica Salon presents: Past Brands", which will celebrate its premiere at the upcoming Klassikwelt Bodensee. The Techno Classica Salon will also have a joint stand at the trade fair. In cooperation with partners and long-standing exhibitors, the organizer will provide initial insights into the new format, which will make its debut in Dortmund at the end of September. Janine Franssen emphasizes: "We stand behind the topic of classic vehicles with great passion and expertise. Thanks to the agreed partnership with Klassikwelt Bodensee, we are expanding our portfolio: Historic mobility not only takes place on the ground, but also in the air and on the water. These three elements have always fascinated engineers and designers, as the exciting chronicles of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and countless others prove. This will enable us to tell even more surprising, unknown stories in the future."
The Techno Classica Salon has invited a number of renowned specialists from the international classic car scene to Lake Constance, including Metropole from the Netherlands. Metropole Managing Director Roy Bolks will be bringing some sensational exhibits to the four-country corner. Eberhard Thiesen, the renowned specialist from Hamburg, also sees the start of the collaboration with Klassikwelt Bodensee as a clear positive impulse for the industry and is supporting the event with some top-class vehicles. Janine Franssen underlines the opportunities: "This new cooperation offers unique options for both partners. We are very pleased to be going down this path together with Klassikwelt Bodensee in the future. I see many long-term opportunities for our exhibitors to address new target groups and expand their reach. Above all, however, visitors will benefit from this cooperation thanks to a significant increase in diversity and even more variety."
Special show "Techno Classica presents: Brands of the past"
This special show, conceived for the first time, is dedicated to automobile manufacturers that once played an important role in the streetscape and in technical development, but have now all but disappeared. It is organized and implemented with the support of SIHA and the renowned classic car expert Johannes Hübner. It is deliberately aimed at several generations. "While younger visitors discover automotive history, older guests can contribute personal memories of earlier vehicles and mobility experiences. This creates a dialog between past and present, making a visit to the trade fair a shared experience," says Holger Ewald.
