The Kilomètre Lancé, organized under the umbrella of the International St. Moritz Automobile Week from 2 to 4 September 2922, has been named the best event in the "Motoring Event" category as part of the Historic Motoring Awards 2022. This is the only award presented worldwide for outstanding achievements in the classic car industry.
A 35-member jury, including US TV star and classic car collector Jay Leno, Pebble Beach chairwoman Sandra Button and Italian architect and classic car gourmet Corrado Lopresto, nominated five contenders for the award from all events worldwide.
The final announcement of the winners, attended by numerous personalities from the industry, took place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at "The Londoner". Kurt Engelhorn, founder of the international St. Moritz Automobile Week, accepted the award in this festive setting - on behalf of the Kilomètre Lancé team led by Solitude GmbH, the municipalities of St. Moritz and Samedan, for the Engadin Airport, for the partners and sponsors and above all on behalf of all participants, whose commitment and enthusiasm have made this special motorsport festival such a unique event.
