The first "Icons Mallorca" will take place from October 1 to 6 as a kind of European counterpart to Monterey Car Week. The event runs under the subtitle "Mobility week for good" and includes a Concours d'Elegance, a meeting for beach cars and three different rallies along the coast and through the Tramuntana mountains.
The Grand Concours will take place on October 4 at the Son Vida Golf Club near Palma and is open to 30 cars divided into ten categories. In addition to the regular judges, there will also be a jury made up exclusively of under-30s and an all-women's jury.
Ten summer recreational vehicles will gather on the beach in Palma for the "Gran Mar" on October 2.
The three rallies differ in the restrictions for participants or vehicles. "La Vitesse" (October 2 to 4) is exclusively for women in the driver and passenger seats and for a maximum of 20 cars built between 1925 and 1995. "Extravaganza" is a rally for up to 15 modern super sports cars from the late 1980s to the present day. "On Tour" has only one year of construction restriction: it is open to 30 vehicles built between 1925 and 1984.
The registration deadline for each of the events is September 12. The "Public Day" on October 5 can be attended without pre-registration, when all the vehicles participating in the Concours and the rallies will be exhibited on the harbor promenade of Port d'Andratx.
