Between 1904 and 1946, the Spanish-French brand Hispano-Suiza, whose chief designer was the Swiss Marc Birgkit, built around 12,000 luxury/high-performance cars, but also around 50,000 aircraft engines, which played a not insignificant role in the First World War.
With the Hispano H6, the experience gained from aircraft engine development was brought to the road and the fast six-cylinder engine also became famous in racing. André Dubonnet, Paul Bablot and Léonce Garnie won the George Boillot Cup three times, which was held on the roads around the French town of Boulogne.
With the further optimized Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne, which is based on the model that was shown in Geneva in 2019, the brand is reminiscent of the famous racing car from back then. The Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne, which is being built with development partner QEV Technologies, will be unveiled at the 90th Geneva Motor Show, which will take place from March 5 to 15, 2020.
