The Citroën Traction Avant is one of the milestones in automotive history. It was important for the development of Citroën and, thanks to its good driving characteristics as a front-wheel drive car, it saved many a bank robber from being caught by the slower police.
These charming car models are collected and preserved all over the world and in 2024 the car will be 90 years old. This milestone birthday should be celebrated.
The French national club La Traction Universelle is organizing a major international event on 9-11 May 2024 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, to which Traction Avant drivers from all over the world will be invited. The center of the event will be the Charade race track.
In the center of France
This large and festive event will take place in Auvergne, a region ideally located in the center of France and famous for its magnificent natural landscapes. Beyond the rich program of events, the 90th anniversary of the Traction will be a great opportunity to combine tourism, gastronomy and nature walks. The region, linked to the history of the Traction by Michelin, has many treasures to discover and offers numerous accommodation options.
