On August 17, 2022, the well-established and popular Concours d'Elégance "Zurich Classic Car Award" (ZCCA) will once again take place on Bürkliplatz in the center of Zurich.
120 years of Cadillac
The event celebrates 120 years of Cadillac and there will also be a special class for these cars. You can look forward to legendary pre- and post-war models of the brand.
The other classes and prices are based on the proven classifications of the past, which means, among other things:
- Prewar & Postwar until 1960*
- 1960-69* & 1970-79*
- Youngtimer 1980-2005*
- Best of Show
- Best unrestored car
- Best documented car by MotorChain
- Public's Favorite
Note*: for a fairer comparison, classes can be subdivided, e.g. into sports cars/limousines or open/closed vehicles. The final classification can only be determined shortly before the event.
100 years of Jaguar
It is not true that the Jaguar brand was created 100 years ago, but Lyons founded the predecessor company "Swallow Sidecar Company" in 1922, which transformed into Jaguar over the decades.
Of course, it would be nice if models from the time before the name "Jaguar" was invented would also appear at the Concours in Ascona (ACCA), but the majority of the special classes will certainly be cars with the Jaguar trademark, e.g. Jaguar E-Type, Jaguar XK 120-150 or Jaguar XJ 6/12 saloons.
Other classes/prizes at the Concours "Ascona Classic Car Award" on September 24 and 25, 2022 will be
- Prewar & Postwar until 1960*
- 1960-69* & 1970-79*
- Youngtimer 1980-2005*
- Best of Show
- Best unrestored car
- Public's Favorite
Here too, adjustments and new subdivisions may still be made until September.
The organizers, including the new head of the jury Stefan Fritschi, have announced that numerous registrations have already been received. Once again, we can look forward to a very colorful and top-class field of participants. Of course, special Cadillac and Jaguar vehicles are still particularly sought after.
The registration forms can be downloaded from the event website, where further information can also be found.
