A longing for freedom, joie de vivre and driving pleasure: 350 registered vehicles will set off on Sunday, August 6, 2017, from Wolfsburg to the current production site in Hanover in a huge Bulli parade. A large open-air party with fans from all over the world will then take place at the gates of the plant in Stöcken. The Hanover pop band Marquess, singer Jea and the DJ team Adaptiv will ensure a carefree "Bulli feeling".
Anyone can come to the festival finale, admission is free. The event is the final highlight of the four-day "Bulli Summer Festival" (August 3-6, 2017) at Allerpark Wolfsburg. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is supporting the entire event as the main sponsor.
Members of the Board of Management, Works Council members, TV and cinema stars as well as the Lord Mayor of the state capital of Hanover, Stefan Schostok, will be taking part in the Bulli Parade. The "convoy" symbolizes the relocation of production of the T-series in 1956 to the state capital Hanover, where the van has been built ever since.
Dr. Eckhard Scholz, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand, will also be taking part in the "convoy" to Hanover in his own T1 (built in 1965, hp: 44, color: cumulus white/sea blue): "It will be a great experience to drive to the production site in Hanover with so many proud Bulli owners to celebrate the end of the Bulli Summer Festival here with other fans. One thing is certain for us: Bullis are more than just cars. They are collector's items and are part of an attitude to life that is always with us - across all generations of vehicles. This carefree attitude to life will also be palpable at the festival finale."
All information about the festival and "Konvoi" can be found on the summer festival website.
