At the Rétromobile in Paris at the beginning of February 2025, the Rare & Unique Vehicles team celebrated the completion of the fourth volume of the quarterly magazine.
16 issues of the internationally esteemed and widely read classic magazine in English have already been published. In 2022, Rare & Unique Vehicles was awarded the "Richard & Grace Brigham Award" for the most interesting magazine with historical content. Two years later, in 2024, it received the Bentley Editor of the Year Award from the Guild of Motoring Writers in the United Kingdom.
So there was definitely reason to celebrate in Paris. Founders Pal Negesi, David Cooper, Tony Paalman and Christoph Stürmer answered questions from participants at an anniversary presentation at the PreWarCars stand.
The magazine is a child of the Corona era and focuses on the rarest and most unique vehicles and aircraft from the world of classic motoring. Automobiles make up the majority of the six issues to date.
The latest issue, which focuses heavily on the topic of "Identification", was also presented in Paris. The restoration of a Bugatti Type 57 Atalante and the history of the Horch 853 Fire Truck are among the topics covered.
Another article is dedicated to the gas turbine experiments of Rover and Austin.
Stefan Dierkes reports on the Glas Isar Ranch, which has survived. The Ferrari 625, "The Beaumont Story", the Egli-Vincent from Switzerland and "Researching Provenance in Italy" are other exciting articles in the new issue.
