Today, the idea of parallel universes ("multiverses") is quite popular thanks to superhero movies. When the photos of a group of Subaru 360s driving through European countries in 1959 or 1960 emerged, it seemed like a story from an alternative universe. The photos were taken back then in the Hungarian town of Győr behind the "iron curtain". They show three Subaru 360s on their way to Moscow! This all happened years before Japanese cars were even imported to Europe, let alone Eastern Europe. The photos were taken by Hungarian photographer József Nagy, who at the time worked as an area manager at the "National News Agency" (MTT), but also took pictures for the local magazine "Kisalföld".
