The motto of this year's Motorworld Classics Berlin is "Roaring Twenties". To do justice to this motto, visitors can expect a wide variety of classic automobiles, exhibitors, musicians and walking acts that will take them back to the roaring twenties. The special show "Berliner Automobilbau" also offers visitors the unique opportunity to experience classic automobiles up close, which are not accessible to the public outside of the exhibition.
The "Roaring Twenties"
The countdown is on: From November 20 to 24, 2019, Motorworld Classics Berlin will take place for the first time parallel to Boot & Fun Berlin. It all kicks off on November 20, 2019 with the "Gala Night of Boats and Classic Cars". Under the motto "Roaring Twenties", there will be a varied program from 6 p.m. to midnight with various activities by exhibitors, artists and musicians.
Visitors immerse themselves in the golden 20s on this evening, when there is plenty of space and time to look, enjoy and stroll around after work and before the hustle and bustle of the trade fair in the coming days. Between vintage cars, modern classics, classic motorcycles, yachts, boats, water sports, retro toys, fashion and accessories, guests will be able to travel back in time to the untamed Berlin of 100 years ago.
Gala night of boats and vintage cars - and music
Surrounded by fine wood paneling, shiny car paintwork and polished chrome, charming artists entertain the audience with swing, jazz and plenty of nostalgia. The lovable "Herr'n von der Tankstelle" are guaranteed to make the audience smile with old hits such as "Ein Freund, ein guter Freund". 20s classics such as "Puttin on the Riz" can be heard from The Cool Cats. The sophisticated Rufus Temple Orchestra brings the legendary jazz age of the 1920s to life. The Orgelinchen with their hurdy-gurdy has good humor and "simply fragrant Berlin music" in its repertoire. Other walking acts include the Swing Dance Girls and the Swing Trio around Meta Hüper.
The magical ambience of the historic exhibition halls and the matching accessories will transport visitors back to the good old days. In addition, service providers such as shoeshine boys and barbers will be on hand with appropriate offers and, last but not least, the stylishly dressed trade fair staff will be a defining element of the overall concept. Visitors are also cordially invited to appear in a retro look.
Special show Berlin automobile construction
Another highlight is the special Berlin Automobile Show in the entrance area at the North Entrance and in the Palais am Funkturm. It shows historic cars and motorcycles from the 1920s, most of which are not accessible to the public. The exhibition is being realized in cooperation with the German Museum of Technology in Berlin and the PS.SPEICHER Einbeck.
