From June 3 - 6, 2015, the "Gaisberg Race for Historic Automobiles" will take place for the thirteenth time, commemorating the famous Gaisberg Race of yesteryear, which was part of the European Mountain Championship.
Tried and tested program
The four-day program follows a tried and tested pattern; on Wednesday, a so-called pre-opening will take place at Schloss Fuschl. On Thursday, the vehicles are approved at Hellbrunn Palace, in the afternoon there is a vehicle presentation on Residenzplatz in Salzburg, after which the participants compete in the City Grand Prix on an approximately 1.8 km long course in the old town of Salzburg.
On Friday there will be two Gaisberg races, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. On Saturday there will be the races on the Salzburgring and further mountain races on the Gaisberg, followed by an award ceremony in the evening.
Who may...?
All historically significant vehicles, open and closed, single and two-seater touring, sports and racing cars built up to 31.12.1969 are permitted. No road registration is required for racing cars.
