The ninth Gaisberg race, which once again attracted many classic car drivers and fans from June 1 to 4, 2011, was a complete success. The weather played along, there were no major accidents to report and both winners and losers were satisfied. This is how classic car events should be. Impressive field of vehicles As soon as the participating vehicles were lined up at Hellbrunn Palace, it was clear that the three "musketeers" Pierer, Schwarz and Matzelberger had once again put together a top-class field of vehicles. Cars built up to 1969 were registered and, as usual, these were divided into around 15% pre-war vehicles, 35% post-war vehicles up to 1960 and 50% newer vehicles. The event was truly international, with crews from 15 countries. There were also some gems among the sports, racing and touring cars that entered. For example, the Ferrari 375 MM, which had won a prize at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este just a few days ago, was on display, as were two Invicta S-Type Low Chassis and two Lotus Eleven cars. Although the weather still felt a little damp at this point, the sun could still be seen shining on the faces of the fans.
