Over 80 registrations and an extremely wide range of brands. The sixth edition of the popular "Fantastic Plastic" plastic car meeting promises to be a varied and entertaining event.
Brand diversity
Well over a hundred participants are registered with cars from over 30 car brands, including Alpine, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroën, Daimler, Gilbern, Ginetta, Jensen, Lancia, Lotus, Marcos, Matra, Opel, Renault, Saurer, Smart, Studebaker, Tornado, Trabant, TVR and Wiessmann.
Alpine-Renault with the entire historic range
Guest of honor Alpine is of course particularly well represented.
Several examples of the Berlinette (A110 and the various A310 variants are expected. They will be complemented by Renault Sport Spiders and a modern Alpine A110, which many visitors to the meeting will certainly be interested to see.
Exotics
As every year, some veritable exotics will also be attending the meeting. For June 2, 2018, a Ferrari Sbarro Mille Miglia from 1974, a Microplas, the Tornado V8 prototype and a Tornado Typhoon, as well as a Saurer all-wheel drive vehicle with a plastic body, but also a very rare eight-cylinder TVR Cerbera 4.5 GT or a two-stroke Trabant P50 have been announced.
And the dozen or so buggy variants will hopefully also be greeted with sunny weather conditions on the first weekend in June.
Varied program
As usual, the meeting will begin at the Museum of Transport in Lucerne at 09:00, the cars will drive to the "Mall of Switzerland" in Ebikon around midday and then end the day with a cozy dinner in the outdoor storage area of the Museum of Transport in the evening.
Last-minute registrations can still be accepted, and the vehicle does not have to be a particularly sporty model - after all, the Renault Espace also had a plastic body.
