Last Wednesday, July 16, the first online auction run of the Swiss auction house Goodtimer ended. In addition to registered observers and bidders from the DACH region, there were also interested parties from Australia, Italy and France.
As expected, extremely interesting bargains could be made, especially as all but one of the vehicles will leave the Goodtimer workshop having been inspected and freshly MOT-checked. This high standard and quality claim characterizes the Swiss auction house. The following six vehicles went under the hammer at the first international online auction:
- Maserati Biturbo Spider for CHF 19,200
- Ferrari Mondial Spider for CHF 50,800
- Porsche 356 C Coupé for CHF 95,000
- BMW 502 V8 barn find for CHF 13,600
- Lancia A112 for CHF 10'200
- BMW R80 for CHF 15'800
As after every auction, follow-up sales are expected even after the online auction has ended. In addition, over 40 well-kept classic cars are for sale at the Oldtimer Center Eastern Switzerland, which can be viewed free of charge from Monday to Friday.
Marcel Widler from Goodtimer is delighted that classic car enthusiasts from further afield have also shown interest in the offerings and is convinced that awareness of the auction format will continue to grow, and with it its success.
The next auction will be held "live" on site and will be held in conjunction with the Goodtimer Autumn Festival, which takes place on September 27 and 28 in St. Margrethen.
