As part of Rétromobile Week, RM will set up large tents at Place Vauban, as it did last year, to auction off over 60 vehicles once again on February 4, 2015.
The 66 vehicles (including one motorcycle) represent a value of almost 30 million euros (CHF 35.7 million). On average, each car is expected to change hands for 454,269 euros or CHF 545,123.
Ferrari and and....
Ferrari leads the brand hit parade with 12 vehicles, followed by eight Porsche, six Lancia, four Jaguar and Lamborghini, three Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo. The rest is spread across a further 33 brands, from AC to Tatra.
A 2 CV for Paris
Even RM cannot give up the Deux-Chevaux and is offering a 1982 Charleston model for between 10,000 and 15,000 euros (CHF 12,000 to 18,000), albeit without a minimum price (like 14 other offers).
Iso Grifo in the millions
An early Iso Grifo in striking green paintwork is being offered by RM for Euro 1.0 to 1.5 million (CHF 1.2 to 1.8 million).
This is said to be one of the first 20 examples whose body is made of aluminum and which stand out due to the many small rivets. Completely restored, this car is definitely not inconspicuous.
Rear-engined beauty
With its streamlined shape and 2.5-liter V8 rear engine, the Tatra 87 from 1948 is an unusual sight.
The example offered by RM was restored in Germany and is now expected to be worth between 125,000 and 175,000 euros (CHF 150,000 and 210,000).
Almost a barn find
A now very rare Panhard et Levassor X82 Dynamic 160 Berline from 1939 is being auctioned in Paris in unrestored condition.
Only 114 examples are said to have been built, hardly a handful still exist. The car, which has been in storage since 1988, is described by RM as an ideal restoration project, but the photos show that there is plenty of work ahead for anyone who secures the fast pre-war saloon at an estimated price of 30,000 to 40,000 euros (CHF 36,000 to 48,000).
Another million-countach?
Euro 1.13 to 1.45 million (CHF 1.36 to 1.74 million) is the unusually "odd" estimated price for a Lamborghini Countach LP 400 "Periscopo" built in 1977.
150 of these early models were produced, the one on offer was delivered to Australia as a right-hand drive version. After four owners and 57,843 km, a new owner is now to be found.
Reasonable estimated prices
Apart from a few exceptions, RM's estimated prices are well within the normal European range, as demonstrated by two Dino 246 GT/GTS for EUR 320,000 to 380,000 each and two Aston Martin DB4 and DB5 for EUR 380,000 to 440,000 and EUR 550,000 to 700,000 respectively.
Even the Alpine-Renault A110 1600 S from 1973, which is certainly not cheap at 110,000 to 140,000 euros (CHF 132,000 to 168,000), is not priced out of this world.
The beautifully presented Alfa Romeo Giulia as a police car, which turns out to be a "recreation" but has been completely restored, could also be a good spontaneous purchase and would be an ideal addition to an "eccentric" car collection, according to RM. And this with an estimated price of 15,000 to 20,000 euros at not even immeasurable costs.
Some cars even appear to be quite cheap, such as the BMW Z8 from 2000, the Maserati Sebring 3700 GT Series II from 1967 or the Nash-Healey from 1952 with Euro 60'000 to 80'000. However, only an on-site inspection will show whether the condition corresponds to the estimated value and only the actual bids will determine the real value of the vehicles.
