The Enter Technikwelt Solothurn is Switzerland's largest interactive museum for analog and digital technology, which was created from the passion of two entrepreneurs for collecting and the fascination of inventiveness and development.

From consumer electronics to vehicles, technology is part of our everyday lives. You can find out how technology has accompanied people for centuries in more than ten themed worlds at Enter Technikwelt, which offer interactive journeys to the beginnings of modern technological history, fascinating insights into Swiss technological milestones and exciting glimpses into the future of global technologies.
Whether printing presses from the past centuries, the first Gameboy or fantastic movie cars, the museum as a combination of science center and event location makes the history of technology tangible for all generations on a journey through time to the present and encourages people to think about the technology of today and tomorrow.
The history of technology in Switzerland
The exhibition is based on the museum's own technology collection, the Gutenberg Collection from the former Gutenberg Museum and a private film vehicle collection.
The Enter Technikwelt team mapped Switzerland's technological history and supplemented it with highlights from all over the world, so that the collections include originals from the SRF and RTS radio and TV studios, rarities such as the Apple 1 and Switzerland's first radio transmitter.
Movie cars and many classics
The vehicle collection includes the Soletta small car that was built in Solothurn, the DeLorean as used in the film "Back to the Future" and a Honda NSX.
Events and experiments
Regular events such as classic car meetings, repair workshops or panel discussions on current topics invite the public to exchange ideas. To encourage young people's enthusiasm for technology, they can experiment in the EnterLab within the exhibition to answer the following sample questions: What is a computer language and how does a smartphone work? Schools can also benefit from specific offers that deal with screen printing, robotics and digitalization to make everyday school life more varied.
The trilingualism (German, French, English) of the entire exhibition makes it accessible to a wide audience and guarantees fascination and fun for all visitors.
