Speed meets nostalgia: on June 22 and 23, motorsport enthusiasts can experience more than 400 vintage racing cars in action on the Solitude Race Track of Legends at the Glemseck. You are also welcome to bring the whole family to this event - a child-friendly supporting program with refreshments is provided. Tickets are now available in advance on the website or on site at the event.
Varied program
On your marks, get set, go: the 2024 Solitude Revival will once again see legendary racing classic cars in the starting blocks. Organizer Solitude Revival e.V. has put together an exciting program for the two days of the event, both on and off the track. Away from the races, partners such as Antenne 1 will ensure an exuberant atmosphere: the radio station will accompany the guests musically from an event stage with its own live band. In addition to ample catering, child-friendly activities including a bouncy castle are also planned to provide a change of pace for the little racing fans.
"The Solitude Revival is not only a journey into the past of motorsport, but also a celebration for the whole family," emphasizes Wolfgang Ziegler, organizer and chairman of the Solitude Revival Association. "We are looking forward to taking racing enthusiasts of all ages on our 11-kilometer journey through time."
Long tradition
The history of the Solitude race track goes back more than 100 years: it began in 1903 with the first hill climb from Stuttgart's Westbahnhof station up to Solitude Palace. The circuit that still exists today was built in 1935. Although the track was never part of the world championship calendar, Formula 1 cars also raced on the circuit in the early 1960s.
Class reunion of racing legends
Lovers of historic racing legends will get their money's worth at the Solitude Revival: On both days, racing greats from years gone by will be on hand to share their stories and convey the fascination of motorsport. The paddock will also open its doors. Here, interested visitors will have the opportunity to experience the classic cars and their racing drivers up close and get into conversation with them.
The Solitude Revival e.V. association consists, among others, of former successful racing drivers from numerous racing formats from Formula 1 and Le Mans to the Solitude Rally, who have been bringing the old glory back to the historic race track with the Solitude Revival since 2008.
Further information and tickets are available on the official Solitude Revival 2024 website.
