The seventh Schloss Bensberg Classics is now in the starting blocks: Once again this year, the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg will provide the setting for an incomparable gathering of automotive rarities. Highlights include the Concours d'Elégance with extremely rare vehicles and a Rallye Historique with prominent participants. "Very important cars only" is the official event motto and the benchmark for the selection of the field of participants. The application deadline is now open.
Rally for the sporty ones
Both the rally and the concours take place in the luxurious surroundings of the first-class castle hotel. The Schloss Bensberg Classics (SBC) starts on Saturday, July 18, 2015, with the Rallye Historique. A field of a maximum of 80 teams of fine cars will set off on a charming, newly created route through the Bergisches Land region. Once again, many prominent personalities will be in the cockpits for this challenging drive.
Concours for the beautiful and rare
The highlight of the classic car event is the Concours d'Elégance in front of the imposing castle backdrop: On Sunday, July 19, 2015, 40 carefully selected rarities will be presented here in a total of 16 evaluation categories. Among them are once again numerous one-offs, prototypes and design studies that have never been seen in this combination before.
Major celebrities on the concours jury
The cars will be judged and the winning vehicles selected by an eight-member, high-calibre jury chaired by Dr.-Franz-Josef Paefgen, former CEO of Bentley Motors and President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. In addition to renowned automotive designers such as Andrea Zagato, the jury will also include legendary racing driver Jacky Ickx and the organizer of the Pebble Beach Concours, Sandra Button.
