Races were held on Fanö Beach in Denmark almost 100 years ago. This tradition is now to be revived.

A few enterprising Danes have created a pan-European event for pre-war hotrods, which will now take place every year in Römö.
The Römö Motor Festival will be held for the first time on September 10 and the aim of the first edition is to get ambassadors of all nationalities on board and ensure that the event becomes a perennial favorite.
The event lasts for one Saturday only, starting at 09:00 with a driver briefing followed by technical scrutineering. The races start at 11:15 on the sand track, and after the races at 16:00 the party, which is set to get the party started at 19:00, will be prepared.

Cars and motorcycles will start, the cars in four classes, namely "Two and Four Bangers", "V8 Flathead Engines", "V8 Top Valve and Sidevalve with Audurn Heads" and "Flight Engines and Belly Tank Racers".
Because it is a new start, the races will be held as demonstration runs. Hopefully there will be real races in future years. The race will be over the eighth mile (201 meters). The drivers, as well as mechanics and photographers, will be dressed in period clothing and alcohol, drugs and medication are prohibited.
In addition, "vintage parking" on the beach will further enhance the time-travel impression.
