The Eggberg Classic, commonly known as the Eggberg Race, takes place in Bad Säckingen from September 25 to 27.
102 years ago for the first time
The starting flag for an Eggberg race fell for the first time 102 years ago on this historic track. Famous names such as Petermax Müller, Baron von Falkenhausen, Schorsch Meier, Karl Kling and Hans Stuck attracted crowds of spectators to the track in days gone by.
From 1967 to1988, new heroes such as Fredy Amweg, Johann Abt, Walter Pedrazza and Herbert Stenger set new speed records. Good reasons, therefore, to keep the history of the Eggberg alive with the cars of the time in the form of a regularity test for historic vehicles.
