Between February 8 and 10, 2019, Artcurial Motorcars will, as usual, be putting cars and motorcycles from past eras under the hammer at the Rétromobile classic car fair in Paris.
Friday evening on February 8, 2019, in particular, is sure to attract thousands of interested parties to the auction conducted by Hervé Poulain, Matthieu Lamoure and Pierre Novikoff, when a rare Bugatti 51 Grand Prix (chassis 51128) from 1931, driven at the Monaco GP by Marcel Lehoux, will be among the items to go under the hammer.
Also registered is an attractive Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Berlinetta from 1939, which is estimated to be worth between EUR 16 and 22 million.
There are also other rarities such as a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso and rare racing cars from the Serenissima racing team.
On Saturday, it's the motorcycles' turn. Around 100 classic two-wheelers, including an important Italian collection of MV Agusta rarities, will then be auctioned off.
Finally, on Sunday, the world's largest collection of F1 helmets and racing suits will be looking for new owners, alongside other lots that will be offered under the title "Flying, Racing, Yachting".
So it's certainly worth making a note of the date of the Rétromobile in your diary now.
Further information on the auctions will be published continuously on the Artcurial website.
