It is one of the largest and most modern classic car fairs in Europe and has established itself in the front row alongside Essen, Paris and other similar events - Retro Classics in Stuttgart.
After a record result in 2013, Stuttgart's Retro Classics is now entering the next round. From March 13 to 16, 2014, 1300 exhibitors will be showcasing rarities, curiosities and treasures from all eras of automotive history at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds - from pre-war models and classic vintage cars to legendary racing cars, American road cruisers and the classics of the future.
There will also be interesting special shows, a large parts market and, last but not least, an entertaining supporting program.
As in previous years, the organizer reports a completely sold-out exhibition area of over 100,000 square metres.
Wide range "from A to Z"
"Retro Classics 2014 will set new standards in the classic car landscape," announces Karl Ulrich Herrmann, initiator and organizer of the successful project. "Thanks to a more attractive layout, we will generate more net space and can therefore not only shorten the waiting list for exhibitors, but also offer an unprecedented range of products and services. There's everything from A to Z!"
Visitors can look forward to a large number of top-class presentations, for example from Ferrari and Maserati (Hall 1), Mercedes-Benz (Hall 7) and Porsche (Hall 4).
In Hall 3, the "classic hall of dealers and restoration companies", many new participants will be exhibiting alongside companies such as Lorinser and the RPR Group, including dealers from the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy.
Special historical treats include the special show with forgotten French brands in Hall 4 and the special motorcycle show in Hall 8, where rare vehicles from the Stuttgart brands Standard and UT ("Untertürkheim") will be on display - highly coveted collector's items among connoisseurs.
In Hall 8, "Kart World" will also appeal to the young public. Motorsport, including contemporary motorsport, is generally very important at Retro Classics.
Classics of tomorrow and American road cruisers
"We are not a trade fair for old sheet metal, but for driving culture," emphasizes Karl Ulrich Herrmann. This is why the NeoClassics area will also be further expanded.
More and more international
Retro Classics has an external impact: of the 77,000 visitors who attended the trade fair in 2013, around 8,500 came from abroad - an increase of almost 100 percent compared to the previous year! In addition, 700 journalists from 20 countries were accredited. The successful concept is now being exported abroad.
An expansion to Zurich, where a smaller version of Retro Classics was to have taken place as part of the Auto Zürich Car Show at the end of October 2013, has been postponed until 2014. Instead, a 4000 square meter Retro Classics presentation at the PS Show in Wels (25 to 27 October 2013) will provide a foretaste of the "big" Retro Classcis.
