The 73rd Goodwood Members' Meeting on March 21 and 22, 2015 will celebrate the most visually distinctive period from the era of Grand Prix racing. From 1971 to the beginning of 1976, Formula 1 cars were fitted with increasingly unusual air scoops, which were enthroned high above the drivers' heads.
More than 25 cars from this innovative and extravagant era will grace the Goodwood Motor Circuit at the Members' Meeting and delight the spectators.
Two ex-Niki Lauda Ferraris - a 312T and a 312B3 -, two iconic black and gold Lotus 72s (driven by Emerson Fittipaldi and Ronnie Peterson) and a 76 Lotus, two ex-Peterson Marches - one the 721X test car and the other a 711 - as well as other McLarens, Tyrells, a Shadow DN1 and rarities such as the world's only Amon AFM.such as the world's only Amon AF101, a Trojan T103-1 and a Token RJ02 will be part of the 73rd Goodwood Members' Meeting. Goodwood Members' Meeting.
In addition to a full racing program with spectacular F1 racing cars from the 70s, spectators can expect to see the largest collection of McLaren F1 GTRs. There will also be a group of wild "Group C" Le Mans cars at the start, which will take part in various demo runs with many other impressive racing cars. In addition, great "Group 1" "tin-tops" from the 70s and early 80s will once again take part in the races.
Over the two days, various "Trophies" and "Cups" are run in three groups; on the one hand the sports car races with, for example, the McLaren Trophy or the Porsche 911 race, on the other hand the single-seater races and, last but not least, the touring car races on the legendary Goodwood Circuit.
Tickets for the event are now available to all Goodwood Club members and those on the Goodwood Road Racing Club waiting list. In addition, a limited number of tickets will be released for sale on November 6th.
