If you love wine and old cars in equal measure, September 16 should be marked in bold in your calendar. On this day, a Concours d'Elégance takes place at an old Saxon winery. This boasts itself as "Europe's first experience winery".
A total of 50 classic cars from the period between 1900 and 1945 will be on display, including the oldest registered vehicle in Germany and the largest and most luxurious Horch. Automobile expert Johannes Hübner will also be on hand to explain the history of the exhibited vehicles to guests in detail. Finally, the most popular classic car at the Concours will be chosen, with a trophy, certificate and a high-quality watch from Mühle Glashütte as a prize.
Fun for the whole family is guaranteed, as musical entertainment, various culinary delights, a bouncy castle and face painting for children have already been announced.
Tickets can be purchased at the winery itself, at ETIX and at SZ advance booking offices. Admission costs 10 euros per person, children under 16 are free.
The winery's website can be accessed here.
