The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is one of the most famous and internationally renowned beauty contests of all. Participation alone is an honor, and winning one of the coveted trophies is a distinction for both vehicle and owner.
Of course, elegant and attractive cars (and motorcycles) will once again meet in Cernobbio on Lake Como in 2017 to determine the most beautiful and attractive among themselves.
Five entry classes have already been announced:
- Speed Demons - Endurance Pioneers of the Golden Age
(Pre-war sports cars and record vehicles) - Faster, Quieter, Soother - heroes of the jet age
(the beautiful automobiles of the fifties and beyond) - Traveling in Style - Around the world in 40 years
(the most beautiful and stylish cars from the Edwardian period) - The Grand Tour Continues - the next 40 years
(which cars would Phileas Fogg, who traveled around the world in 80 days in Jules Verne's story, have driven if he could have chosen from the 1946 to 1986 vintages?) - Racers on the Road - Playboy toy
(racing cars that have been tamed for road use without losing any of their character).
It will be interesting to see which cars will be registered and accepted.
