American gems will once again play a special role at Retro Classics in Stuttgart in 2019.
RD Classics will be showcasing some of the most beautiful rolling US legends of all time on a total of 600 square meters, including a fully restored Packard Model 526 Phaeton from 1918 and a Chevrolet Corvette C1 from 1961.
The Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible from Missouri (USA) from 1957 makes collectors' hearts beat faster just by looking at the red paintwork and shiny chrome. A closer look at the powerful 5.0 liter V8 engine with 185 hp and the high-quality interior is sure to impress any fan of American road cruisers.
And that's just three examples. You can see more in Hall 5 of Retro Classics.
Further information on the special shows can be found on the Retro Classics Stuttgart website.
Incidentally, the trade fair is fully booked almost two weeks before the start of the event! For some time now, it has not been possible to allocate any large stands, only smaller remaining spaces. Now the Retro Classics halls are booked to the last square meter. The last remaining spaces for private sellers and last-minute buyers are only available in the outdoor area in the vehicle sales exchange on the East Piazza.

70 cars go under the hammer at Classicbid
The Classicbid auction house is auctioning off 70 vintage and classic cars, including everyday cars and classics. The majority of the vehicles will go under the hammer at an exclusive live auction in Hall 4 on Saturday, March 9, and some of them can now be purchased with a used car guarantee. This provides buyers with relatively carefree driving pleasure, as the repair cost insurance protects against the costs of certain components for 12 months.
With starting prices of EUR 5000 for a 1991 Golf II Country, EUR 42,000 for a 1970 Corvette C3 and EUR 370,000 for the Pre A 1500 Speedster, for example, classic cars from all price ranges are represented and offer a wide range of options.
Highlights include a Land Rover Bell Aurens Longnose V8, a Porsche 356 Pre A 1500 Speedster and a VW T1 Samba from 1965. The Land Rover is interesting in that it is one of two prototypes.
Almost a third of the cars on offer are from the 1980s, so fans of this decade will get their money's worth.
Details of the auction vehicles can be found on the Classicbid website.
