Following the successful launch in 2025, Broad Arrow is once again organizing an auction on the occasion of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. On May 16 and 17, 2026, 77 vehicles worth almost EUR 60 million will go under the hammer in the park of Villa Erba.
On average, the vehicles are around 44 years old and 43% will be auctioned without a reserve price.
Italian brands in the lead
With 19 Ferrari (including two Dino), seven Lancia, six Lamborghini, four Maserati and three each from Alfa Romeo and Fiat, Italian manufacturers account for more than half of the vehicles, with six Porsche, five Nissan and three each from Aston Martin and BMW. All other brands are represented by a maximum of two cars.
While none of the Aston Martins will go under the hammer without a reserve price, all five Nissans will be offered "no reserve". The "no reserve" rate for Ferrari is 37%, for Lancia 57% and for Porsche 50%.
Pre-war chocolates
Six cars date from before the Second World War.
The most expensive car is a Bugatti Type 43 from 1929, which was fitted with a roadster body by Eugène Matthys. The asking price here is EUR 2.5 to 3.5 million.
A Bugatti 37 Grand Prix from 1926 is expected to be around half as expensive, estimated at EUR 1 to 1.3 million.
The two oldest cars are from Renault and Panhard & Levassor, dating from 1901 and 1903.
Skylines for gourmets
Five Nissan Skylines from 1999 to 2002 will go under the hammer in the park of Villa Erba.
Only rarely is there a richer selection of R34s available at auction.
The estimated values of between EUR 325,000 and 850,000 reflect the high level of interest in these fast cars.
Valuable NSX
The same applies to the two Honda NSXs that Broad Arrow can offer.
While the NSX Type S from 1999 can still be bought for EUR 200,000 to 250,000, the NSX-R from 2003 is expected to go for EUR 850,000 to 950,000.
Lots of yellow
The color yellow is usually the exception rather than the rule at auctions. In Cernobbio, however, five yellow sports cars from four manufacturers came under the hammer.
It starts with a Ferrari 308 GTS from 1979, but the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada from 1968 is also painted yellow.
The same applies to the BMW 850 CSi from 1993 and the Ferrari 512 TR from 1993.
The quintet is completed by a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight from 1973, which also shows some green.
If you don't like yellow, there is also a selection of orange-painted vehicles.
Selection of super classics
The super classic category in Broad Arrow's two-day offer is quite extensive. Two Lancia Aurelia, a Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato, a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, a Facel Vega Facel II, the two Dino variants 246 GT and GTS or Maserati and Ferrari GT vehicles are ready to find new owners on May 16 and 17, 2026.
The valuations correspond to the current market situation, some of the cars will go under the hammer without a minimum price.
Individual pieces
Broad Arrow also has a few unique pieces on offer that are rarely seen at auction.
There is the Sauber BMW M1 from 1981. Although two examples were built, only one has survived to this day. The Group 5 racing car with Würth paintwork, which was displayed in the Sauber Museum for a long time, is said to cost EUR 1 to 1.2 million.
There were several versions of the Fiat 2300 Presidenziale Landaulette, built by Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi, but only one is believed to have been used by Gianni Agnelli, although this is apparently not 100% certain. The presidential Fiat will now go under the hammer for EUR 75,000 to 100,000 with no reserve price.
The Astra Coupé from 1952, which the American Jay Everett built as a "one off custom", is always likely to catch the eye. The car was shown at the Concorso in 2017 and is now estimated at EUR 150,000 to 250,000.
The Pagani Zonda from 2018 has "Unica" in its name. It comes from the Zonda One-Off series and is now expected to attract bidders to bid EUR 9.5 to 12 million.
And then there is the Meccanica Maniero 4700 GT from 1967, which was built by Giovanni Michelotti as a one-off for the industrialist Angelo Maniero. The unrestored car has a 4.7-liter Ford V8 under the hood, is manually shifted and was valued by the BAA specialists at EUR 300,000 to 400,000. However, no minimum price is required here either
The selection on May 16 and 17, 2026 is large and Broad Arrow will not be short of exciting rare classics. A visit to Cernobbio or participation by phone call/internet could therefore be worthwhile.
