Finally open again! The team at the Hamburg Prototype Car Museum is looking forward to welcoming visitors again from May 15, 2020 after the Covid-19-related break. With a relaxed ratio of visitor numbers to around 2500 square meters of exhibition space, the spatial conditions as well as prudent protective measures, fascinating exhibits and exciting stories provide the ideal basis for catching up on cultural leisure experiences.
Prepared
The exhibition areas have been renovated and polished to a high gloss over the past few weeks. With the reopening on May 15, visitors can once again be whisked away into another world by fascinating cars and unique stories from and about legendary racing drivers.
Immersing themselves in the world of racing drivers and designers, visitors experience inspiring stories of automobile enthusiasts who mastered tricky situations with a great deal of creativity and commitment and realized their dreams even under the most difficult conditions. As a result, in addition to taking time out to look at the exhibits, a visit to the museum also gives visitors the strength to cope with their own everyday lives and inspires new perspectives.
Distance
"The recommended distancing between people comes automatically with our generous space," says museum founder Thomas König. "Of course, as responsible hosts, we have improved this positive basis even further with information boards, distance markings, visitor guidance systems and a high frequency of disinfection measures."
Oliver Schmidt, also founder of the museum, adds: "As a brand-independent and non-subsidized museum, the business decision to reopen now was not an easy one.
But what we all need now are positive signals - and experiencing culture is a very effective amplifier. We look forward to experiencing this new start together with you!"
Further information, e.g. opening hours, can be found on the museum's website.
