Auto e Moto d'Epoca in Padua is one of the largest classic car fairs on the international stage. With hundreds of professional exhibitors and over 4500 vehicles on display, it offers something for almost everyone and all this coupled with a good pinch of Italianità.
With Bonhams auction
For the first time at Auto e Moto d'Epoca, the international auction house Bonhams will be auctioning around 60 rare and sought-after classic cars. Two rare Lancia Flaminia models, a Porsche 911 Targa and a Mercedes-Benz 230 SL have already been registered.
Even bigger
90,000 square meters are available to around 1600 exhibitors in 11 pavilions. Between 90,000 and 110,000 visitors are expected.
This makes the trade fair in Padua somewhat more compact than Stuttgart or Essen, for example, but the trade fair organizers in Italy still manage to provide interesting special exhibitions and attractions every year.
Collector's paradise
For the first time, a new approach will be attempted in "Gallery 78", where all the things that a classic car enthusiast might need in addition to a car will be presented, such as specialized trailers, exhaust systems, racing clutches or tire shoes, to name just a few examples.
As every year, in addition to the many vehicles on display, which of course include not only Italian makes but also rare special bodies, you can also expect parts and automobilia of all kinds.
Beyond the fair itself
From October 26 to 29, 2017, the entire city of Padua will radiate the theme of classic/young cars. To this end, entire streets and squares will be assigned to specific car brands and cars and other exhibits will also be on display there. In this way, over 250,000 people will be made aware of the topic. 15 car manufacturers have already shown interest and will be exhibiting their vehicles at the fair and in the city.
So if you are planning a visit to Padua at the end of October, you should allow a little more time to visit the city.
