For the first time, the British auction house Bonhams organized an auction on the occasion of the Italian classic car fair "Auto e Moto d'Epoca" in Padua . On Saturday, October 28, 2017, 59 cars and a fairground car scooter went under the hammer. However, the bidders did not get into the hoped-for buying frenzy, with over half of the vehicles on offer failing to reach the expected minimum bids. As a result, the total turnover leveled off at around EUR 3.12 million, whereas significantly more than twice that amount had been expected. The vehicles sold reached an average of 85% of the estimated value; there were significant downward swings, especially for low-priced lots without a reserve price.
