The Passione Caracciola is an annual rally in memory of the German racing driver Rudolf Caracciola.
Participation is open to classic cars of all makes built up to 1980, but only 58 teams are admitted, as this was the age of the racing champion when he died.
The aim of the meeting is to keep the legend of "Caratsch" - Rudi Caracciola's nickname - alive.
The Passione Caracciola is intended to be a unique experience in memory of the historical and personal life of the great racing driver, who went down in history as the "Rain Master", and a journey along the places that have a direct connection with him.
For four vehicle categories
Attention to detail, from exclusive hotels to food are important: emotions that can only be shared with true lovers of beautiful things.
Four vehicle categories can take part:
- before 1945
- from 1946 to 1960
- from 1961 to 1970
- from 1971 to 1980
The four categories take part separately in competitions, but there is still an overall winner of the rally. The regulations clarify all points for participation in the meeting. There are various program points with regularity, competitions and entertainment.

- The Caracciola Prize with special drives on closed roads
- Arrival in Lugano in front of the LAC and exhibition of the cars in the city center
- Presentation of the Rudolf Caracciola Museum and the Rudolf Caracciola Foundation
- World premiere of the "Caracciola Limited Edition" wrist chronograph from IWC
